    Our new favorite place to eat in the area. Delicious Organic, gluten free options & the most reasonably priced food we have run into out of the 7 or 8 places we've tried that are open for lunch on a Monday. Super friendly & helpful. And they do have a comfortable indoor place to eat All 3 of us in our party were super happy.

    Very beautiful store This is definitely a vegan and a gluten free diet grocery store. They even have a juice bar and a restaurant.

    The nicest and most helpful staff of organic grocery stores in Nevada county. The prices here seem less expensive then their Grass Valley competition as well. Shopping here is a pleasure, and what and organic grocery store should be like.

    Nevada City is really vegan friendly it turns out. While attending the first vegan festival in this town (which unfortunately only had little samples and no real food for purchase) it was recommended to me by one of the volunteers that I check out the quinoa tacos at California Organics. Seriously glad I did! The outdoor patio was a great setting to relax by the fountain with an iced tea and enjoy my tacos. Service was laid back but friendly, and I made it clear I wasn't in a big hurry. Be forewarned, those tacos are more of an entree than an appetizer! I had hopes of getting a vegan milkshake to go but was too full in the end. Next time for sure. I was also able to check out the market on the other side of the building, which carried several specialty products as well as some of the basics I find in places like Sprouts and Whole Foods. Yes, this store is pricey, but for specialty items they were pretty standard. I'd come back here the next time I'm in the area.
